lift the bike off the ground and spin the front tire. if there is any strange sound, your front bearings are gone. what color smoke is coming out? there are a few guys on here who know alot about the master cylinders for the brakes, and they will chime in sometime soon

    welcome to the addiction

the smoke is like a whitish/bluish color. doesnt smell funny, just smells like exhaust to me. i was thinking the bearings but some guy told me that my forks might be best and thats why. It kinda pulls to the left but thats because it needs air.

If the smoke isnt black then chances are you need a valve/topend job done on your machine , the grinding noize like he said is probably wheel bearings . If your forks are shot they will either bounce like a pogo stick or freeze up either way forks probably arent the culprit . As for the wheel bearings the first place i would look would be ebay . good luck

allballs bearings are what I run in the front of mine. whitish blue smoke means its burning oil. your going to need at least a top end rebuild with new rings. good luck

they are harder, yes. but you probably dont need to do anything with the valves, but it couldnt hurt. everything else is simple. just order a top end gasket kit, new rings and if you can get the cylinder honed it would be good but its not necessary. once you crack her open, you will find that its much easier than you think

It's all simple with a manual....

Problem is, if the motor burns oil it msy hsve never been cared for before you. Once oil levels go low, the cam journals starve for oil, the rocker arms and shafts starve too.

It can cost a fortune to fix, but used parts are out there! and the 200SX quad has your same top end.....

Get a manual, read up on it, tear it down and see whats junk..... They build it up to snuff and have a ball!!

A 4 stroke rebuilds not as hard as you think, all I ever worked on and rebuilt were 2 strokes until my 185s started smoking . Few more parts to it than a 2stroke but its still do-able if you are mechanically inclined to some extent . Once you rebuild one its cake .

you have good advise already, download the manual and follow.ask questions if you dont know.and rings only go one way, there are three of them.they can not be interchanged.
