    Just buy a hone, you can get one pretty cheap and then you can hone it yourself. And some how after you re-do one engine, it leads to more. So if you're going to rebuild it yourself then buy a hone, I've never regretted buying a new tool.

    Get a manual, read up on it, tear it down and see whats junk..... They build it up to snuff and have a ball!!
    i think its safe to say its never been cared for. LOL its in really rough shape

    on the front right hand fork (when sitting on it) there is oil that leaks out of it also. you can see the brown pad i have sitting on the floor to catch the oil

    yeah they spray painted the out of it. i dont have a clue what kind of exhaust LOL. everything thats on it came like that. the exhaust says HP1-00 HONDA-NELSON.as soon as i get new plastics i'm going to strip it.my buddy owns a body and paint shop and he said he will paint it any color i want for free. it looks like but by spring time it will look better than new!!

    when its in first gear its like it doesnt want to go....it bogs down and then wants i go to 2nd its fine. is the kit i get called a top end rebuild kit? want are the rings called? piston rings?

    Yep there piston rings. Your x, doesn't look too bad, you have about what i started with. lol. That 1st gear problem sounds really weird. Maybe the clutch adjustment is off? I still don't know how to adjust it and the manual isn't much help.

    LOL what all did you have to do to yours? how long did it take to get going good?
    any before and after pics?

    well, i printed out the manual and was going through it and probing around my 3 wheeler and took the seat off, looked in the air filter box and nothing was there. no filter at all.

    I have a tee shirt on mine right now. the local shop gave me the wrong filter twice, and I havn't had a chance to return it, in like a 2 months. oops
