I am toying with the idea of a cr500 swap into my 85 250r eventually. Besides the kickstarter snaffu what else needs to be modded to fit this motor? I know new motor mounts. Any frame mods? Also any ways to strengthen the R frame? I know a couple of guys that have busted there frames either on the backbones or the part in front of the motor. I have a pretty modded 250r as it is (310cc, msd, 41mm carb) But thinking of building this bike for just racing.
Any info would be great

Weld some 3/16" plate steel on the bottom to tie the tubular frame together. This will prevent it from cracking. Beefs it up. The skid plate covers it up very nicely.
