    200x Wobbles!

Last night I did an oil change & replaced the spark plug. After I was done I went out for a quick ride around my block and I noticed that my trike would wobble? Only thing I could think of was the spacers I put on it? I went back home and made sure all the nuts/bolts were all on securely. Checked 'em and went back out to see if it would still wobble, well it did! I don't know what it is that's causing it? Has this happened to anyone? Please Help!

Take the spacers off and see if it still wobbles, if so then you've found the problem. Are the spacers new? They could be tweaked or something. Bent rims could cause the problem too, or a bent axle, but check the spacers first.

Well I rode the trike about 2 weeks ago without the spacers, and it was fine no wobbling! I just put the spacers on last week for stability and took it out for a ride last night and now it wobbles! the spacers arent new, they are used. My rims aren't bent and neither is my axle, never had the problem when it was stock? Could it be that maybe the spacers aren't alligned when I bolted them in?

most likely something is not aligned properly.make sure spacers fit flush with the rims, and the hubs.

I'll have to check it when I get home. I wanted to ask on here first, just to see if maybe someone else has had the same problem?

If I rode it before without the spacers and it ran perfect (no wobbling), it would have to be the spacers right?

Well I did ride my trike about 2-3 weeks ago stock without spacers and was fine. I added the spacers for more stability and took it out for a ride and it wobbles.

Rode stock without spacers = No problems & no wobbling
    Rode with spacers = Wobbling

Could it be that I just need to take the bolts/nuts off and re-tighten them?

well if u rode offroad befor and on the street now you could have a slightly bent axel and you dont notice it in the dirt. and the spacers just amplified the bend causing a noticable wobble. i rode a 200x for 3 years and never had any problems off road but on the street the thing wobbled all over

Three wheeler guys probably have the biggest balls out of all the ATV/Motorcycle riders. You just have to be a little twisted to ride them, and you have to be a great rider to do so.

These are the plastic spacers from this post?

    http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/s...d.php?t=105786

Do they sit flush on a flat surface, both sides?

Post a pic of one, when you get a chance.

    * About 2 months ago I went trail riding with some buddies. I took my 200x out stock with no spacers. Rode perfect with no problems! Previous to that she also rode perfect without wobbling off-road and on street.

    * Took it out and rode it around my neighborhood couple days after the trail ride. It was still stock w/no spacers and rode perfect with no wobbling on the street.

*About 2 weeks ago, put on spacers and didnt ride it that night until I did an oil change couple days ago. So I take it out for a spin around the block and now it wobbles?! I'm thinking it could maybe be the way I tightened the nuts/bolts. Because I was missing 1 nut on each side for the wheels. So I went out to ace hardware and picked up the 2 nuts that need replacing. I had tightened the 3 nuts/bolts that were on there. and when I got the last nut from ace hardware I went home and screwed em on. So I'm thinking it could be that they are just not tightened equally onto the hub! I haven't had a chance to check because I've been getting home late. I will take pics tonight and post them tomorrow AM.

Would it have anything to do with my tire pressure in the front or rear tires? too much, too little?
