I know it has been mentioned here recently and was wondering if anyone bought any of thier stuff yet? I think its a tad overpriced? There is a NOS 250r (non flat track) gas tank...$720!! They have a tach set up for a 350x and i emailed him....$1250!! I mean i realize this stuff is hard to find and nos but DAAAAAAAAAAAAAYUM! I really would like that tach but not for 1250 i will make and fab my own.

    ,,,,,,,,Hi Jim.

Jim, am sure no one will be able to tell the difference between your tach and the OEM one once your finished

Once you've nailed the Tach, can you start on the OEM tanks, i'll take 2.

Discontinued parts are worth what someone is willing to pay. Simple as that. If you think the prices are too high there's no need to make a thread about it. Just don't buy anything from them.

    Hey Jim
if you don't like my prices then that easy DON'T BUY .....i sold the 81R and 82R tanks for alot more than $720 !!!!!!
i spent 10 years finding these parts , dealer buyouts from all over the world alot of time and effort!!!! and not to mention cash!!!!
i really don't care if i sell one part i never bought all this stock to make a profit they were going to be used to restore bikes... i now have a nice collection of mint bikes don't need the parts so if the price is right i will sell..... i don't need the money so they can stay there forever if no one buys......

    Thanks
    Pete

I agree with you in principle, Pete, if you spent the money the parts are yours to do with what you please. But I sure hope that the poor and average 3-wheeling Joes are able to find aftermarket or used parts .....or have parts fabbed up......in spite of your buying up old dealer stocks all over the world.

When it becomes cheaper to restore the Titanic, a lot of us will do something else.

    Hi Pete,

I just wanna say thanks for giving everyone the option to buy and admire these vintage NOS parts, most of which have not been seen in decades. I'm sure those folks who feel the prices are too high, have scanned your site head to toe, admiring all the parts, brochures, bikes sourced, etc. My opinion is that new, hard-to-find, discontinued parts should be priced accordingly. I would certainly love to have my cabinets and drawers full of the parts you've spent years acquiring... I hope they're used to preserve the history of the sport we all love. Absolutely love it!

    Great looking website!

    Thanks again.

It's all about supply and demand. The speedos are pretty common but I have only seen 1 tach in person. For the guy that wants a 100% bike that tach is the cherry on the top and is worth every penny. When you have new parts that are over 20 years old they are worth whatever someone is willing to pay. I give Pete credit for actually parting with some of his inventory. I know that there a lot of people out there that would rather horde parts like this than ever see someone else get them. Keep up the good work guys!

Pete and others - Im sorry but the intent of this thread was not to get anyone upset or think that im putting anyone down. I definatly understand that stuff is hard to come by and it is what it is. I just simply had no idea that NOS stuff would bring that much coin. I was just shocked in short. Please dont take offense to it... Like someone mentioned they got a nice 350x for 1900...and then when you think you have a small part - the tach- for a little less it makes you just think how crazy it is that this parts can bring so much money.

well, What is cool about the guys high prices, is that it raises the values of all of our bikes, by uping the vintage value. If he can get what he is asking for, then my quality used stuff should be worth what? Half????

DO NOT send any thing to whats his face (dirt-face/crasher) here on the board. What a scum bag. He screwed (stole) money from me and screwed me on my ME360 and Hondaline 300R engine rebuilds.

    WOW.
    Nice professional website Pete.

Your prices seem pretty fair, or going rate to me. Those 200X seats for instance..Way fair prices on those. I saw some on EBAY fetch way higher than that for the 87 200x.
There are some things I would like to buy, but I just cant swing it right now.
I would love to nab one of those Brake line guides for a 85 R.

    Remember this folks...

There is no more manufacture suggested list prices for these items in most cases..
Therefore, he can ask what he wants for them.
If you want it, you will pay it. Plain and simple.
It isn't like you can just jump on the next website and "price shop" against him.
These parts just do not exist anymore. At least not on every street corner.

Good luck with your new site Pete!
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

    exactley right mosh,
I personally know how long Pete has been collecting these parts and for the most part he paid top money for them so like he said he isnt in it for the money . I love how people get all upset over someones price on anything if you dont like it turn your head and walk away it is not for you then . It has been proven over and over again these types of parts can comand whatever price tag you put on them they are just that impossible to find . I have to explain this to people every week who email me for a price on a "showroom restoration" 86 250r for example and I quote them 15K . 5 out of 10 people email me back some nasty remark , but the other 5 understand what it takes to build a true showroom quality restoration this means as close as we can come to OEM Honda build specs right down to that last nut and bolt , these are the people that need these parts and I am more than thrilled to see pete is even offering them it takes alot of searching out of my job and i will never try to beat him up on any price he gives they are what they should be . I love the remark saying what about the poor 3 wheeler guy who wants to restore his trike my suggestion would be quality used parts or maier plastics if avalible you build within your means why should someone feel bad and drop prices on not hard to find parts but near impossible to find parts to help out a build that most likley wont ever be at the level these parts should be used on . no matter what the hobby is you will see these types of remarks when it comes to money , we all must rememeber these parts will NEVER EVER be offered again by any of the big 4 ever again and there are very few quality nos parts left .
