I've never been disappointed with the condition of an NOS part. I cant say the same for the used parts I've spent good money on.
BikeBandit wants $900 for the 1987 200X rear shock. $250 seems pretty good to me.

At what point do you have to be serious. I thought I was serious when I thru probably $7 grand into a tri-z. I will have a ton in my T3 too. I mean I may not build vintagemotorsports caliber stuff. Or I may not have a mini tiger factory. No offense to either guy. I mean I think that's pretty serious. For the majority of the blue collar guy on these boards who kill them selves each day to make a buck and for them to pinch some cash here and there sink a $100 here, $200 there into there trike. I think thats pretty serious.
all good comments, but my take is this. Petes parts are what they are and are intended to be used for restorations. By this I mean by builders that intend to "restore"(the act of restoring or state of being restored, as to a former or original condition) a trike. IF you need a part for a "rider" then off to eBay and get a good used part and refinish it. If to rebuild you trike and use it or modify it then it is not a restoation and you do not need a 1200 tach and you could use a nice aftermarket or used unit. Thanks to Pete for making parts available. There are very few reproduction parts out there that are up to original specs so finding NOS is the way to go for a restore.
