Yes the Honda 300ex ATV hubs fit directly on and are a little wider. I think the 400ex rear hubs work as well as a few others.

I just sold my 84. It was a great bike, both trail and anywhere rider although rear suspension was a little wore out for the mx tracks. I had 300ex hubs on my rear and it added around 3 inches total. Lots of crf80 85 parts interchange on the brake systems. Parts readily available. Mine was pretty much stock except for DG pipe and sprocket change and it ran like a scalded dog......... Great bike, no not a 350x, but very light and agile on the trails, you should try and score one if you want my opinion. One of the most popular trikes ever built, very reliable. Good luck

Just got an 83 a few months ago and I love it , lot of parts out there for em and they are fun machines . I ride on a Buddys quad mx track and it handles everything with ease . Feels good to air out the old trike on the jumps too .
