efimaybe eaiser starting, but I work at a car dealer and we are always getting atvs and side by sides in on trades. we recently got a 2008 Honda Rincon 680 Fuel Injected in on a trade. one morning, it was about 35F and I got on it to get it out of the shop before the customers came in to have their vehicles worked on. It started right up on the first try, but died on me three times before I got it out of the shop. my 2005 Honda Recon ES is carbed and runs better than that at 35F.

EFI is great on street motorcycles but then techno has been around a full 10 years on them. i person do no like working on EFI'd bikes, there are wires attached to this and that and that this and that thing under this thing thats attched to that over things over on this peice. see my point. nothings quick and simple like taking a bike appart with EFI unlike a carbed bike.
i dont have a problem with carbed bikes, but i do not like carbed street bikes due to 4 carbs at once.
i dont feel offroad toys need EFI, hopefully they only leave it to the racers, i'd hate to see a crf100 get EFI
I like the efi on my polaris sportsman. Been sitting for 2 months outside, its about 15 degrees here and fired right up and away I went. But the quality of the new sportsman I dont really like.

I can't afford one right now, but I will eventually buy an EFI Brute Force 750i. I liked them when they came out, but was waiting to see them get injected. Now that they are, I'm nearly foaming at the mouth to get one. Why? Although I won't go there often, I will end up going to Colorado several times, and some places my buddy goes are up to 12000 feet. His 86 TRX250 does just fine, but he uses tons of fuel above 3000 feet. For loops that can be up to 80 miles long, I like the feeling of being jetted in the ballpark for all altitudes. Plus, it's my money, so I'm not shopping for anyone else but myself.

You have to remember with EFI you can't go too far with performance mods without also modifying the fuel curve stored in the ecu. They won't automatically adjust like a car will.
