    ESR 310 kit / 86 R

Well it looks like I finally have to bite the bullet and replace the top end on the R. As I'm at it, I also need some performance parts to complete the power up pakage. Up untill this upgade, I have only ice raced with a competely stock motor, reeds, carb and exhaust so I have no idea what to expect. I was really competitive with the 14 year old piston but it is now showing signs of getting tired. I could bore and port the old jug but would rather hang on to it for a stock R someday since it has never been bored.

I'm not a motor guy so I'm asking you, Am I making a good decision for a ice racer motor? Is this top end pretty good?

here is what i'm planning on, pretty much a kit from ESR

-ESR 310 bolt on with TRX9 porting

    -ESR ATC5 pipe with silencers

    -ESR exhaust flange

    -AirStryker Keihin Carbs 38 mm

-250R RB2000 Billet Reed Blocks (ESR 8-petal reed block system )

    -K&N filter

ChrisD has a Pro-x top end on his ice bike. He's very knowledgeable, and would have useful info on which combo may be best for ice...
