looks like you have 400ex tires and wheels on the back of it already...pic up a set of these billet wheel spacers...they are solid. 1.75" per side and i think he makes 1.5 and 1" also per side.

I test drove it the night i bought it. it had 20's on it. i have not ridden it with the 18's on it yet. i am debating whether to drive a little over an hour for these hubs. i can get the hubs and front brake lever and master cylinder off a 2006 450r for $60! i guess if the hubs dont give me the added width i am looking for, i can sell them on ebay and will end up with the brake for free. oldskool83 tells me i wont get any added width out of them, but i am reading varying accounts on here about it.

as for the tires, my 86 in high school had nothing but a slip on (believe it or not, a richter 2 stroke slip cannister), a drilled air box, and the 18" tires. it would do over 60mph and was faster than any other 86 in town -even top end. i am anxious to see how this one performs. i want to get the front brake situated first though!

i keep telling you the hubs add width on the 83-85 200x's the hubs were like the 250r's flat. just look on ebay, your going to find out they are the same. check bikebandit.com also. but i konw cuz i owned a set and put them on my 85 200x what did add width, it wont on 86-87.

throw a pic up of your hubs like i ask, tell tell u what u have.

    250R tank wont work.
    Fix the old one.
Take the master apart, there is most likely some minor corrosion in there blocking a small orifice.
Motion pro sells an easy pull clutch lever cheap.
You need a parking brake eliminator kit to remove that extra handle. That mounts to the rear caliper.

One thing I do when bleeding brakes is run a piece of tubing from the bleeder to the master cylinder.Takes alot of fluid but usually does the trick.Pump it until you have a good flow and them close bleeder off.Sort of works like bench bleeding a master cylinder.

Thanks for the call oldskool83. turns out, i finally got pressure in the lever about 30 seconds later! by the way, here is a pic of the hubs. 450r on the left, 200x on the right. i picked up a total of 1.5" in width, plus installed the 450r master cylinder and lever, as well as the CR style clutch perch and lever. i'll put pics up soon. i think the next thing will be to have the tank restored. i am going to read the syko thread after this post.

those hubs you had on your 200x look to be the 1st gen 200ex hubs cuz 86/87 hubs are alot different. glad we figured it out and gained width.

i cant imagine why someone would have put first gen hubs on this thing unless it was to narrow it for tight trails or out of necessity. i will measure the old ones before i ebay them. i might just make a single auction with all my take-offs. maybe it will help someone out. i never spent any time trying to bleed the original master cylinder so it may be fine. i also have the hubs, axle nuts, lug nuts, clutch lever and perch, as well as the parking brake cable. i may have some more stuff. if i ebay that stuff i will put a notice on here or give you guys first dibs at it before ebay.

Most likely you have an 83-85 200X axle and hubs installed in there..... They fit and if thats what your old hubs look like, they are def. not 86/87 hubs..... Not 300EX either.

Looks like you have the wrong axle in your machine but it works!! so who cares.............
