    84 atc250r?

looking at purchasing a 84 250r. the price is right and is all there except the head and cylinder. My question is would it be possible to switch this bike to a liquide cooled engine? i have two 83 cr250 engines and a ton of parts they have the sproket on the right side.or am i better off finding the original air cooled stuff. and is the performance close on these air cooled closed to the 85 or 86 models?
    thanks

The 84' is harder to find parts for, but I think it is the fastest. If you can, leave it original. As far as swapping parts, the ports won't line up. You can modify it but its easier to get the right part.... Good luck
