250sx popping out of gear

i am going to look at ax SX that looks decent and is only 350 bucks. he says that it occasionally pops out of gear when riding. i assume its the auto clutch needing some help or replacement which wont cost more that about 100bucks. what else can cause this? i dont want to get into a full bottom end swap if its a ton of work. i see plenty of bottom ends on ebay but not sure how involved changing it over is. clutch seems easier for sure

When you test drive it if it just falls out of gear when under a load its a bent or worn shifer fork in the tranny and all gears related to that fork will need replacing . Second gear is the most common gear and fork to go bad .

i new some body on here snagged that. I was 2 hrs away, and ready to hop in the truck when he said it was already gone. didnt last 1/2 a day!! have fun with it.

shift fork is my guess,gears will have to be determined when you open her up
