I have bought two chinese carbs off ebay for about $25 each and they both work perfect. The finish on the outside of them is rough, probably because they use the sintered metal process to make them, but the internals were machined smooth. I have a hard time gambling on a carb kit when a complete carb replacement is about the same price.

A $20 kit comes with that along with everything else needed to rebuild one. I would've done that before buying a Chinese junk carb.

Will the jets from the chinese junker fit in my OEM carb? and the float and crap like that?

or would the float bowl from my OEM improve the performance of the chinese one?

Seems like we talked about this in another thread...if you're absolutely certain the float is adjusted correctly, then there has to be something wrong with the new carb.

I hate to suggest you should spend even more money, but here's the one I put on my 200s, and it's been running great for two years now: http://www.dratv.com/sttyreca325.html. I think the pilot jet might be a little small, because it bogs when you stab it from idle, but it idles great, runs great at WoT (tops out at just over 50MPH) and best of all, NO LEAKING!

The tubes can have pinholes and thats what cause it to leak out the overflow, when it's not really overflowing. Throw the junker away and work on the oem.

That would be easy to test. Take the bowl off and fill it with gas. If it leaks, then junkie is right.
