Yamaha sport quad rims/hub on YTM225DX...

There has been some posts in the last few weeks of putting Yamaha sport quad rims/hubs on a YTM225DX.

I just wanted to verify 100% this will work.

I know the blaster hubs are 100% confirmed to work, but has anyone used anything else (Banshee, Warrior or Raptor?)

Would the Banshee/Warrior/Raptor hubs be any stronger than the Blaster?

In regards to rims, do all the named Yamaha sport quads use the same wheel lug spacing, or does each model vary? I was planning on getting a set of Blaster Rear hubs (they are cheap and easy to find) and then stock aluminum rims from a Raptor. Is this a good plan? Will it all bolt up?

    Thanks!

there is a difference is the bolt patterns, the warrior, banshee, and raptor are 4-115 and are the same but the baster is different its 4 -110

Blaster is 4-100. You could used tri-z rear wheels they have 4-100 bolt pattern.

    correct,, blaster/tri-z 4/100,,,

warror/banshee/raptor,yfz ,all sport bikes are all 4/115

they all will work but you have to use the right wheel/hub combo

Ok, so the lug spacing is 4/100 for the blaster/tri-z and 4/115 for the others. Good to know.

Has anyone actually used a hub from a warrior/banshee/raptor on the 225DX (or 200E). Is it a direct bolt on like the blaster?

I think I will probably stick to a warrior/banshee/raptor hub/rim combo if it will bolt up. I would like to get aluminum if possible, and it is hard to find in the blaster as most of them I'm finding are steel.

    Thanks,

i know banshee hubs are the same amount of splines are the 200x/350x, with that being said u should be able to run 300ex/400ex hubs on them to get 4x110 bolt patterns and widen it a little.

i know this cuz a member had banshee hubs on a 200x

Really good info. It would make sense that Honda/Yamaha would make something that is universal.

Can anyone else verify this? It sure would make it a-lot easier to find rims if I could also source Honda hubs/rims for my YTM225DX.

    Thanks,

Has anyone figured out if the honda hubs will fit on the 225? I actually have a set laying around my house, I will try this weekend if someone hasn't already debunked this.

WORN OUT 200x hubs will fit on, but you have to beat them on therefore, 200x, 350x etc will fit, as long as there worn.

Yes, well i tried non worn out hubs, and they did not work. Looks like only Yamaha hubs will fit. Picked me up a set of blaster hubs for $1, so I will be using those.

well i did a hub swap. i put blaster hubs on, but then realized i had 400ex wheels lying around. so i ended up using the CNC to make some spacers/adapters. pics below:
