not sure what tires to buy

im getting ready to buy new rear tires for my 84 ATC110
im normally in the performance machines and buy tires like razors or holeshots in the 20/11/9 range
i dont have alot of experience with mud bog trike type tires
i know i want a 22/11/8 tire (the width can very a inch either way)

i want these traits in mind but they kinda dont go togather
these are in no order
light weight
high flotation (in a sand dune scene, not literally floating in water)
good sideways slide-ability for turning (as good as they can be on a 110 haha)
puncture resistant (i have popped to many tires from sticks on the trail)
good in mud,snow,sand,and wooded trails around the yard and a bit of dirt road (hard pact)
last a fair amount of time
ride smooth (no shocks haha)
and are not to hard, when i air them down i want atleast some flex
and mud clean out, no point on having tread when all the mud just sticks to it and makes a slick

im also looking at the mud lite tire but im really not sure.
let me know what u guys think, any tires u have fallen in love with? anytire

The Maxxis is THE TIRE to have for snow riding. For the price they sell them it is worth to buy an extra set of rim. Also for sand riding they will be excellent. But for riding in trail your are better with at least a 4-ply tire, but you will loose riding comfort. Personally I like to buy extra set of wheel to choose between different set of tires depending of the condition...

so have u used the snow tire before? are they ok to use on the trail? or just sand and snow, i wanna get away with using them as an all around tire, i mean its not like ill be ripping them up, i only have 8ish horse power. they look awesome but im worried they will get punctured too easily and wont slide very well since they are so soft.

I like the stock tires for trails, but wowee on the price. I actually am running Black Widows on my 185S in the rear and a Fox A/t on the front, all 22x11x8's. The rears are goo grip and clean good, and front has good hard pack turning (instead of sliding like they sometimes do) I think all together I've got 120 bucks in all 3. But the 4-snows are good tires, but they are what they are. Mud lites are good tires fr puncture resitance and lightweight but really jounce you around on a fully suspended quad, lt alone a stiff trike. I look at both before purchasin my the BlackWidows, i've had experience with both on quads andwork, ad the Widiows don't bounce as bad, but grip good.

It seems like all tires are a compromise of some kind. We've had about 800 feet of snow here in Iowa this year, with another 6-9 inches coming before Tuesday, and my stock knobbies all perform horribly in this stuff. I was asking about the Duro Mud and Sand tire, but nobody had any thoughts on those.

Everybody says the 4Snows are the best, but like you, I don't really want a single-purpose tire.

yeah, exactly. im curious to how the 4 snow tires will work out of snow, i mean its only for a 110, it wont be too hard on them.

are the duro, mud and sand, just like wooly boogers? We got tons of snow, and those are champs. Even one got me though more than a foot of snow.

I really like my ITP mudlites... Do very well in the tundra here in MN, and also are great on the trails, and in the mud... I have them on a 85 BR, so I have a bit more power to work with than the 110... (idk)

lol, i actually have a pair of Wooly Boogers, well they are close to that tread design, they are just for a 9 inch rim, and they are a bit stiff and heavy, i could buy new rims and use those, or use my stock rims and buy the 4-snows. thinkin im gonna buy the 4-snows then use the tires i got now for wood trail type days (stock blaster tires 21-11-8 ballon things) or if i wanna spend alot of money, buy new rims and the 4-snows so i can use the boogers as a trail tire then have the 4-snows on a different set of rims ready to bolt on.
