    Anybody doing tank restore/painting?

My 250SX tank had some rust in it, so I tried using the KREEM kit on it. It got some of the rust out, but not all of it so I didn't use the final (coating) stage of the kit. So now I still have a rusty tank that needs to be treated and eventually painted. Does anybody here still do that stuff? I know SYKO did some amazing work in the past, but not sure if he's back in the game yet.
    Thanks,
    Andy

You can use hydrofluoric acid and marbles and shake up your tank to loosen the rust or just let the acid sit over night. As far as painting goes the hardest part is going to be your clear coat. If I was still in school I could do it for you but I don't have the right tools for it now. I'm sure someone does though.

Maybe a redneck fix but it worked... I used the acid and a big handful of 1/4" nuts... bungeed the tank to my tractor wheel chains and went for a ride... all those sharp corners chewed the rust right off...
