    Parking Brake

I use both Bike Bandit and Service Honda for ordering parts, but the thing about Service Honda that I can't stand is that they'll let you order just about any part, then they'll email you three days later and tell you it's not available. I tried to order the parts for the parking brake on my 200s, but most of it came back unavailable. Does anybody know if you can still buy these parts anywhere? The brake levers are aftermarket, and they have the threaded hole for the parking brake thingie.

Sure, please do. I'll pay you for shipping if it's something that will work! This is my utility machine, so I might be moving cut wood around, and there's a slope in front of the woodshed, so I always have to chock the wheels.

Twilight- after seeing the pic you sent me, I said to myself "Hey, I have one of those!". So I went through my stuff, and sure enough, an old 200x lever is very similar to what you have. Too bad it doesn't fit! Actually, it fits, but you can't move the lever properly. it holds the brake on, but when it's not engaged, it interferes with normal brake lever operation. So then I tried the one from my 250SX, and that one was more promising, but still no dice.

I broke a lever on my SX today, so I ordered a new one from DrATV. I also added one of those cheap wire parking lock that they offer. It's the same one that's on my ATC90 and it will probably fit, but it's not easy to use. Worse, when you stop suddenly, it sometimes swings forward and locks itself on! So I'm still looking....
