    Hmf 400ex fits big red 250es?

    I emailed HMF and asked them if they might make me an exhaust for my Big Red 250es and this is what they sent me...


    Jeremy, we’ve been told by a few customers that the 400EX pipe fits with only a few small mods. I can’t confirm that because we haven’t tried it ourselves. Thanks

    The muffler may, but I haven't tried it before. The headpipe is actually a 2 pipe into 1 like the 350X's. So it wouldn't work in that department. Anything will fit it if you cut and hack on it.

    Did specify atc250es, as I believe this is a trx250es

    What pipe were you looking at. I think the headpipe outlet is bigger on the 400ex then on the Big Red

    Again I am reffering to the muffler only! I know the headpipe will not work! I wasn't looking at any pipe in particular, HMF said that they have been told that the 400ex HMF Muffler will fit a 250 Big Red.

    I'm saying where the headpipe ends and goes into the muffler, might be bigger. Therefor your headpipe mightbe too small to seal with the muffler.

    yeah Im sure the 400ex pipe is bigger there, I would have to have someone fab & weld somehing up! Im not sure what to.

    I needed a muffler. Went to my local cycle scrapyard and bought a 450r muffler and had Meineke make me a piece to go between header and the new muffler... turned out nice
