400EX Header on a 350X???

So I used the search function for a few hours last night and really didnt get the info I wanted. I did find some threads mentioning it could be done, but didnt get any really good closeup shots of the modifications needed to make it work. Just wondering if anyone has some pics of a modded 400EX header and some tips/tricks to make this work. I would just get another 350X header but solid ones seem pretty far and few. By the way, please delete this thread if it is a topic that has been covered a 1000 times and I just didnt use the search correctly.

My 350x had a 400ex header and muffler on it when I bought it, when I started restoring it I had to cut one of the head pipes off by the jug to get it to come out. After that I found gouges on the frame where they pried it around to get it to fit.

Unfortunately, you put in 400EX header and you get all kinds of crazy results.....

They fit, there is some cut/refit/welding involved.

We need to get the search feature fixed NOW!!!!!

the search feature works poorly for me as well. I have a hard time finding Threads I started or threads I posted in. It worked fine before the upgrade to the new site. Now I can barely use it. On topic I am of no help with 400ex header.

I got a full 400ex system on mine. There are a cpl things that need to be done to make it work correctly. Ill try to post pics of everything later today or tomm morn.

Sasquatch, The 350x you rode at coal creek had the 400ex header. You remember? The one you got busted on by the Lady POPO? Yes, I did tell you the back brakes did not work!!!! LOL LOL!

guys if you're cutting and fitting a new headpipe...you may as well do a little more work. SNag you an aftermarket 400ex headpipe. and right where the two pipes go into one, kick it up to around 2 inches or so.
