I just bought a beat up ATC 200 and i tore apart the carb abd when i opened up the fuel bowl there was this white glob of what looked like brain matter. It looked like three pieces of chewing gum but with a very soft texture The only thing i could think of was mabey water that transformed over time. It didnt cause and mechanical problems, but i just thought it would be interesting to see what yall have to say

Maybe it is chewing gum that has soaked in gas/water causing the soft texture. I've heard of people doing these such things when they sell them so the buyers can't get it running.

It was beat when you bought it right? :shock:
That goo is in fact a mixture of gas, old gas, evaporated gas, varnish, oil, and water sitting over time. Take the carb off. Soak everything in carb cleaner for a day or too making sure to slosh the fluid and add fluid for soaking. Take carb out of soultion and blow out the passages with compressed air. Reassemble and rock n roll.. Clean your air filter too! Run Super for awhile.

Its old gas that has turned into Varnish . Give it a good cleaning . Oh and by the way , How do you know what brain tissue looks like ????
