    Stripping A Swingarm

I am building a 85R and want to strip the swingarm. I would like to polish it. What are the best method. Blasting or wire wheel? Or any other suggestions.

you will have to do a lot of sanding if you blast it. I would get a few cans of aircraft stripper and go at it the chemical way. It will be much easier to polish up vs blasting it.

Edit: Use a good automotive clear so it holds up. Any chip in the clear and you will have rust.

I don't think polishing steel is going to work out so well for you. You're better off either having it chromed or powdercoated. I glass beaded and painted mine several years ago and its held up surprisingly well.
