    Is ceramic coating worth it?

I have a New OEM 350X header and a Supertrapp exhaust. I haven't installed the system yet b/c I'm considering having the whole thing ceramic coated. My goals are longevity and then performance. Essentially, if I ceramic coat the exhaust will it add considerable life to it? Is it worth it? Anybody done this?

By the way, I intend to ride this bike a lot. I'm not worried about looks, just longevity.

havent seen anyone around my neck of the woods have any atv/atc pipes coated, but do know of many headers from cars and trucks that have had it done. They look great, last a good amount of time, and also many places will recoat them if any issues occur down the road, which is why many guys around here do it (ocean air is not friendly to steel)

The head pipe getting sand blasted from riding will crap the finish out... They also have a black cermaic coating available for exhaust... (not just black powder coating)

I guess I'm concerned that they don't make OEM headers anymore, so I'd like mine to last forever...

well it deffently would be a better way to go than just spray bombing it.....only other thing would be powder coating but ceramic coating would be better in an exaust application (heat resistance)

There is a joint up here in MN that we used for auto headers, New Image Coatings in Lino Lakes... Ph: 651-784-7055

I just called them and spoke to Mark - great guy! Very friendly and honest. His prices were great, too. I'll be using him for sure.
