if unhook the plow and the U shape thing ya should be able to tape/strap them together and i'm sure ups would have a box or somthing it would fit in. might be able to just wrap up with some saran wrap and stick the invoice on that. they got some weight so i'm sure it'll cost. how far ya got to go? if it ain't far try putting a ad on CL see if someone is traveling thru and would [ick it up for 20 bucks?

Hello, There are a few ways to ship it. Where is it going from NY? The least expensive way that I have found is Greyhound. The main requirement with them is that you box it. They aren't to particular about the box but if it's boxed they'll ship it. They didn't charge me by dimensions, only weight. I shipped a rare Bonanza Chopper Mini-Bike frame cross country for about 80.00, literally NY to California! Here's the catch, you have to bring it to your nearest Bus Station and the person receiving it has to pick it up at theirs. Anywhere else we tried was I believe more than twice as much! Hope this helps. Tim

boxes can be made ..... fridges come in boxes .... some times with shipping you have to get creative ... I bought a kayak that shipped by air that may be a option bring it to a terminal and it needs to be picked up at a terminal

I got my large box from a bicycle shop. You can cut it to size. Just take your assembly and attach it to the inner plow however you can. I would plastic wrap everything then tape it all together so tape doesn't affect paint etc. I bought a receiver for my vehicle and the box was huge. You should be able to find a used box at any large retail, appliance store etc. I'm just trying to save you some cash! A pallet and freight charge will be costly compared to Greyhound. They use their large cargo bays to ship all the time. Get your weight estimate and then call for quotes, that should help you decide. Either way the plow and assembly will have to be condensed as much as possible and secured for safe shipping. If cost isn't an issue use the pallet. Also you can try Uship.com.

I strapped a 4l60e trans to a pallet, and shipped it from MN to AZ for about 75 bucks... (before fuel prices went nuts)

i like the greyhound bus. great for over sized items plastics and bumpers etc. you can get a shipping quote from their website.

take to a station pay for service and it gets dropped off at another station. receiver just has to pick it up
