    TRX jetting

    im new to the quad so imm abe askin quite a few ?s its a 1989 trx 250r when i bought the quad the guy told me he mixed the gas oil ratio to 50:1....seems a little lean to me ive ran all my 250 dirtbikes between 32-36:1 the quad has a 38mm keihn air striker carb and boyesen reeds i havent taken the carb out to see what main and pilots are in it yet also has a esr pipe and silencer on it....it still smokes quite a bit on start up but fades when it gets warmer but can still see a haze when looking back.....seems to be jetted fine when riding it the bike rips ..... can someone help me?

    get on esr website and goto frequently asked questions and it will give there specs on jetting. That will get you close on jetting.

    You can run it 50:1, but it'll live longer at 32:1......just my $.02
