84 big red 200es electrical prob?

All right guys here is one for ya! Installed new battery ; green neutral light was on hit the start button And........ Hot wire going to solenoid started smoking and it de-juiced my battery. So at that point installed another battery and checked the 2 inline fuses and now the green neutral light will no come on! Am I missing a another fuse? I checked the starter with a battery charger and it still would turn over but no start up. Any suggestions?

You ever had any dealing with anything like that? I see you have two 84's! Does the solenoid have anything to do with that neutral light?

there is a little silver relay hanging in in a rubber under the battery near the selenoid. mine had similar problems and that was the problem. make a wire to jump the ralay and if it works, get a new one but dont leave it like that ir u can take out your cdi
