Title says it all... I have never seen a suspension kit, etc. for a 70... where do you find such things?

Suspension 70s were made in the 80s. It usually takes alot of searching to find one now adays. You can build one, but you better know a reputable frame maker. They are neither cheap to find and buy one or build one. A friend of mine is building one for me right now. But it will use a special engine. There is a gentleman building a pitbike based suspension 70 that is very trick and it pretty much comes with everything but wheels, tires and tank and plastic. It even comes with a "custom shock" tailored to the riders size. The price is around $2000. But like I said, it's very complete. An original suspension 70 frame will bring $1200 or more depending on what venue you find it on, even in todays market. When people find the price out, it usually discourages the majority. But, they are incredibly fun. And they have alot of possibilities. Blue27 on here took a rather plain suspension 70 frame, added home built disc brake systems front and rear and made a replica mini tiger. You should do a search for "mini tiger" and check it out. It is super slick. Blue27 has also adding the disc brakes to my A+ suspension frame and doing some other work the frame needed to be in tip top shape once again. If you contact blue27, maybe he can give you some info to get a new suspension 70 frame. But rest assured the cost will be over $1000. So if that is too rich for your blood, you may not want to bother. Blue27 has provide several neat pices that people have shown interest in, then balked when they hear the prices. And many of these pieces have a lot of cost due to materials and the machining of parts. But these goodies are very cool. Sadly, it costs to play.

I'm not trying to dog ya. Just some people think these parts are $50 or something like that. The few people who really dig these things have no choice but to pay. There are only a couple people on here with the skills to build one. But when they do, they make some awesome machines. I have seen one or 2 that people have tried to build with less than spectacular results, but I give them an A for effort in trying to build one. Not having the skills can result in building a truly dangerous machine though. Some of this machinery is pretty uncommon. There are more Tigers on here than suspension 70s.

    what he said,lol
I can get replica A+ triples for you, they bolt on and they run 250.00 and you use XR75/XR80 forks (not included)

or as we say around here "I have a welder and a grinder , I can make it fit". You can fab up some stuff like disc brakes pretty easy on the rear, pit bike exhaust fits with a little tweaking.

I don't wanna mod my kid's 70, but I'd like to get some parts and start building something cool... there is a thrashed out 70 near me with no gas tank or seat and a locked up motor... guy wanted $100, but I think that's too much

blue, are there any good scrapyards out your way? My sis lives in Maytown and I'll be headed out there this summer...

Yep, that's the one I mentioned before. That's about $2000 without and engine, wheels, tires and plastic and tank. But that pretty much is the best you are going to get.
