    Do cam/timing chains even have a master link?

    I have a YTM200 with a pretty worn out cam/timing chain. It is tiny so I am wondering if it even HAS a master link or not. And if not, how much do I have to rip the motor apart to change it out?

    hey, yes they do, kinda. it's like bicycle chain. use a chain tool to press the pins out, and back in. wire the new chain to the old and snake it through. just don't drop it!!
    one cylinder is not enough!!

    its much easyer just to pull the stator cover off to replace the chain trust me i have tryed it trying to lace the chain around the crank form up above is next to impossible on some engines. . when you order a new chain just order a the gaskets too. its not that big of a job it will save you time and aggravation

    I think I can attach the new chain to the old one and pull it around. I have messed around with the chain a lot (without taking anything apart, not even the head) and have gotten pretty good at doing funky things with it.

    However, if I do end up having to take the flywheel off, will I need a special puller tool or something to get it off?
