I just remembered that without a switch I don't have low and high beams, so that might be something I would want to add later.

    Here's what I did for a taillight...

After I did all this, I saw some others that use the round ATC90 style headlight with the switch right on the bucket. The ATC90 headlight seems more "authentic" somehow, which may be silly since it was never an option. However, mine is an '85, and all '85's had square headlights. I did not bother to install a switch. My son rides this, and I really wanted the headlight on at all times, so I left it out.

Here's a pic of my son's. The other thing I really like about this headlight is that it's super bright and good beam, compared to the ATC90 headlight. There was a specific bulb choice that I made that made all the difference, but now I can't remember what it was...15W or 25W. I need to see if I can find that thread.
Hey Frankencelery, what bolts did you use to attach the light housing to the brackets? Mine didn't come with any, and the holes are rather large... did you just buy a couple of big chrome nuts/bolts? Also, the holes in the housing are ugly... any idea where to get plugs to fill them in?

I'd like to find out about those plugs too. I have that same headlight on the 110 and 200S.
The holes are to route the cables, I believe, but they are really quite useless.

I have a 83 and I have a headlight on it also. I thought it was a light kit that was installed.

Sorry guys, you asked me questions about this like a year ago, and I missed it! I never would have seen it if someone hadn't recently commented on the thread. I don't know if its relevant anymore, but atc350xer, if you didn't get the plastic plugs, I just got them at the local True Value hardware store. You know the cardboard bins that have all the specialty hardware? It was in with all that stuff.

The last time we talked about this, the idea of LED headlights didn't seem possible, but they're coming of age. I had never seen these, but I looked them up, and that's pretty cool. It would be way too expensive for me, and you wouldn't be able to use them on a stock 70's 6v stator, but the technology's certainly got potential.
