    Question 86 tecate crank seal ques

    Do I have to split the casing to change the crank seals on my 86 ttecate b1?
    84 Big Red- User
    85 250SX- clean
    85 200X- mint- < 10 hrs on it
    85 350X- Mint- <40 hours on it
    86 350X- mint- <40 hours on it
    2-85 tri-z's- Both frame off restorations
    84 250R- Mint- <15 hours on it
    86 250R- Super clean- < 30 hours on it
    86 500R- Sick fast!!!
    86 Tecate 3- Frame off restoration- Mint
    86 Big Red- Mint- <30 hours on it

    yes you have to. you also have to press the main bearings out. so you might as well change those 2.

    If the crank seal is sucking air, will that cause the motor not to crank? Or if it does crank, will it cause it to be too lean and destroy my top end?
