Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

After re-visiting O.C 250R's site. It does appear as though Tigers never came equipped with an airbox. They made mention of an "unprotected air element" in one of the tests. But i guess it would make sense as it also seems as though Tigers were never built with anything that was injection molded???? Which anything built on the high side of the mid 70's for dirt use, had injection molded plastics throughout. Other that some of the european manufacturers. This was imo, no doubt a cost cutting measure and one that allowed for easier frame design and manufacturer. Contrary to what many believe, a well thoughout and designed airbox can actually increase power, and of course allow full off road use, due to protection. But, design, implementation, and producing the myriad of pieces needed to work around the machine is very complex and extremely expensive. Capitol was obviously a huge problem with Tiger from the beginning.
