Will this work? 200S engine in 1996 xr200r dirtbike?

EDIT: First one is gone, I just found a complete 96 xr200r chassis.

Will the 200 engine come remotely close to fitting/direct bolt up?

    Thanks

I have seen it done with a pull start 185/200 engine. It looks like it bolts right into the xr.

That's what I was thinking. The 185s/200s/200 all have the same mounting bolt positions, same as my TRX200sx. I may jump on this deal to have a decent dirt bike for <$200

You will most likely need the XR200R intake to get the carburetor to line up with the xr's intake boot,,,,I have several if you end up needing one.

84 and 85 xr200r used a RFVC motor which was huge like a 350X motor, neighter should bolt in. ive owned 5 84/85 xr200rs. xr200r 1981-1983 will bolt in no problem. 86-02 is close.

i currently own an 02 and a 85 200x, mounting holes are similar but not a direct bolt in. i tried a few months ago.

Sorry to bring this back, but what about a newer xr200r chassis. 1996. The one first mentioned sold, but I found one complete less engine/carb/exhaust.

    Thanks
