    Four Peaks

Four peaks is located just north of Fort McDowell Casino on highway 87. You go past the casino about 10 or 15 miles. There is a sign saying 4 peaks, which is a right hand turn off 87 going north. You will go about 200 feet on asphalt, then it turns into a dirt road. Go about 1 mile, and you will see a parking lot for trailers.
From the parking lot, you can go up to 4 peaks on the dirt road, about 26 miles each way.
Or you can go south out of the parking lot into a dirt area for about 3 miles, then a sandy wash for about 10 miles.
    The GPS location of the parking lot is 33 40 11.53N, 111 29 44.84W.
I don't have a plate on mine or my wife's quad, never had any trouble with rangers, ever. Pictures are of the dirt trail, sandy wash area, and the parking lot.
The top of 4 peaks is about 20°F to 30°F cooler then the base. My guess is about a 3000 foot climb up to the peak from the parking lot. Click image for larger version.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life wrote a blank check Made payable to 'The United States of America' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
