I like trikes, and I've dragged home alot of junk, just because it had 3 wheels, so I'm staying out of it

Only thing I really see that looks interesting is the swinger and shock. The carb might be big but it looks like it's cobbed on there and the engine looks pretty stock to me. Not a 300r kit thats for sure. I say pass. Not worth the trade, maybe worth $900 cash but that's gonna take a lot of elbow grease to make it respectable again.

Nah a 12 year old CR80 is not worth that much. My brother could only get $1200 for his nice 2000 CR125 a couple years ago. KBB says a 98 CR80 is worth about a grand, and you rarely get blue book for toys.

Either way, that trike looks beat to me.

As far as if its worth it, I would say probably not. You will spend more money to get it running again. But i would probably do it anyway just because I like the old R's and i would rather have that than a bike

Its a cool looking 81 or 82 air fooler., and it had 83-84 forks on it it looks, but i dont think id trade a clean dirtbike for a ratty old trike. its gonna need gone thru, you might be in over your head.

how about ya give the guy $400-500 cash and go home with it.

So the swingarm is a CALFAB? Out of curiosity how do you know? Does it have some kind of markings? Looks more like a Dico swinger to me but I'm not authority. Can anyone else take a look at this guys pics and shed some light?

310 in the stock cylinder or is it aftermarket and if it is who made it?

Who knows any history on KNARLY MAN porting? I'm curious to hear about it.

i couldn't see myself dumping out more than 700-800 for it, but im one of those guys who thinks no trike is worth more than 1500 unless all out redone, like some peoples ice racing 250s. but seriously even with all these parts it looks like someone beat the p iss out of it and everything is gonna be worn to hell, even with cool parts they probably have some mileage on them and might need to be re-done

    Hey,
You asked, you recieved honest answers. So here is the one that it seems you want to hear. Trade dirtbike. There you go! You got the answer you were looking for, and just for an extra measure of feel good you go ahead and give the guy a few hundred to boot just because it is a AFTERMARKET OLD SCHOOL GOLDMINE!. Now you will be able to tell everyone that you got a great deal and in your mind you will be happy, and the guy that gets your bike and the boot money will be happy. Theres the answer you want to hear. Not an honest one but this is America so we don't have to consider honest answers. Some times we just want someone to tell us what we want to hear.
Now before you slam me for what I have written, sit back and think about it. These guys that have responded to your post are hard core experienced trikers, so their OPINIONS are based on FACT and EXPERIENCE, but then again we dont have to respect that either. BTW Thanks guys for your input, I for one appreciate it and it is this advice that makes this forum so great.

If it's a CalFab it will be aluminum. Take a magnet. The carb is a Mikuni TM which the biggest they made was a 38mm. Unless it has been bored larger which is possible. I have a 38mm TM that was bored to 41mm.
