    The ATC 90 rebuild begins!!

Tore it down tonight. Found the top compression ring was in two pieces. The clutches were on their last leg. When I pulled the case apart a washer came out. I think it sits on top of the large gear. At least that what it looks like. I'm sure the case will be a little tricky getting back together. I have the sub tranny down now after I took it apart once before. I will be sandblasting everything and its getting a paint job. I'm going with the white honda theme.

good start, thats a clean 90 for having a few issues with the motor, usually the fenders are all broken and beat up with a motor like that

Pics are after 30hrs of work to it. I had already cleaned it up. Sandblasted the rims and painted them. Yesterday I completely torn down the bike and blasted everything. The rear fender has cracks under the paint that had been repaired but hasn't held.
I also ported/polished the head. Took out alot on the exhaust runner. See pics.
The frame needs some welding done on it. Towards the front its rusted out by the motor mount plates.

You shouldn't mess with the exhaust outlet. You will cause your trike not to run well at all. Unless you are really building a large cc engine and running a big carb and a radical cam and high compression and premium fuel and have access to a flow bench, it's just a bad idea, trust me on this. But it's your trike and your wallet.

it looks like he doing all of this, unless its on a different 90 he has. hes not going to extreme in any direction but hes upgrading to 122cc 10.5:1 comp piston, looks like he has a cam on the list and a 22mm carb.
im just going off his signature. Turbo, if those are your plans you might want to look into a exhaust as well.

I have stock exhaust off a 110 coming. I will see if I can open up muffler. I've spent so much on the trike already that I can't justify putting $150 exhaust on it.

This is the only atc that I have. I think that the porting job will go fine with the other upgrades that I'm making. My goal is my signature pic.

Get one of the econmy mufflers from supertrapp. Cut the stock muffler of the stock exhaust and mount up the supertrapp muffler. You may have to get some more exhaust pipe to get it to mount up and look nice. Have a friend tig weld it up for you and you should be good to go. I'm pretty sure that the smallest inlet size supertrapp economy muffler should work for the stock 110 exhaust pipe. Around $50 for the economy supertrapp 3" muffler. Check on ebay for a deal.

or worse comes to worse i believe the baffle is removable on the stock 110 exhaust, and if you dont like it that way you can always put it back in, it should reduce back pressure if your going for a higher end cam and make it a little louder.
