Need advice on what Trike to get next/ how to go about getting it

things have been good lately and its time to add another trike to the stable. so far i have a real nice 85' BR and a pretty clean 86' 350X. im trying to figure out what to get next, and if i should limit myself to ones that are close enough for pickup. So its pretty much down to - waiting on a good deal/fixer upper of a 250R, picking up an already clean 200X or maybe even knocking out the 250sx. the goal is to have one of each and it would be ok if i got the 250R last, but man i been drooling over them lately. also, does anybody have experience with uship.com or freight.com? if i didnt have to limit myself to Tejas, i think i could pick up a very nice and affordable R outta CA. they seem to pop up often out there for cheap. you know, im sure im gonna do what im gonna do, but i thought i'd turn to you guys for advice on what to get next, maybe get some different points of view that i havent thought about - im pretty stoked. BTW my budget will prob be around $1500 tops

250r no doubt, once you get one you wont wanna ride anything but!

Id say R, then 200x then a SX

thats the thing though, one way of looking at is that once i get the R, thats the cream of the crop and nowhere else to go. if i got the 200X or 250sx, then i'd still have something to look forward to, in a way. but then again, i got a fever and the only prescription is a 250R !

aahhh, long day at work. im gonna get into 70's after these others are knocked out. prob wont be an R next, cause theres a couple nice 200xs and even a couple 250sx which i would consider to be one of the hardest to come by(the 250sx) i guess whatever falls in my lap

You should base what you get next depending on what riding you are doing. After a 350x, a 200x will seem like a toy. And the 250r is nice for wide open spaces. If you are just trying to complete a list, then it would seem like you would just pick up your next deal when you find it. And don't buy a 70, they multiply!

lol thanks vealmonkey. after seeing Kasey's progress it is tempting. but i know those are gonna be last. i dont really have wide open spaces around my place to ride. but youre right, i'll prob just get what presents itself. got this guy having a garage sale with a 250sx for $850, but have yet to find out what kind of shape its in.

Heck, instead of getting one of everything, just concentrate on the 2 or 3 you like the most and make them really nice. You know, custom tailor the trikes the way you want them. It will make your life much simpler in the long run. You will have more room and you only have to have spares for the 2 or 3 trikes you have instead of spares and upkeep on lots of trikes. Ask me how I know. LOL

How to go about your collection? Bring it home, hide it the best you can. If the old lady finds out 2 months later, you respond "had it for awhile..." Its easier to ask for forgiveness, than it is to ask for permission...
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

thats a real good point. especially if you guys say the 200x wont do it for me since i have the 350. maybe just start collecting 350's. i do want an R eventually though and i'd love to have a 250sx cause theyre so rare

lol, no offense to anybody, but the reason i can do what i do is cause there is no old lady. at least not one that has that kinda pull. funny though, i can only imagine what some of you guys do to get stuff done

Oh, it's EMBARRASSING what we'll do... I brought one home and tore it to pieces and shelved it... it became "invisible" lol

Ive owned a lot of trikes, but IMO have the R, but thats just me. i have never owned both at one time, but it all boils down to how you ride and preference. I love going fast, and being fairly low to the ground.
You will cry, you will scream if you've heard half the **** I've seen.
Are you gonna get up and burn an X in your head?
