I just got done putting the engine back together but it will not start.
So I am wondering if I have my cam in 180 deg out.
The new cam doesn't have a timing mark to line up with the gear.
At TDC which way should the lobes face?

lobes should be down so there is a gap between the rockers and valves, Why don't you just call me when you have theses questions? LOL

That's the way I put it.. I just took it apart again to check.. I was getting spark on every 2 or 3 kicks. Still will not start
Blue answered it perfectly.......
TDC, use a straw in the plug hole if you have to, then both lobes are away from the rocker arms like a perfect "A" on center..........
All our government does is distract us while they steal from us, misspend our tax $ and ruin our country
That's the way I did it.. I took it apart to make sure.. and put it back the same way. Still wouldn't start.
I pulled the pulse generator off of my father's 200s.. It starts on one kick.
Thanks for you help.
