    Exclamation trying to diagnose/fix problem

i just bought an old atv and i got it running a couple hours ago. but for some reason when i started slowing down and down shifting the engine went crazy. when i stopped and put it in neutral it was idling super super super super high for some reason. i turned it off and noticed that the tube that starts from underneath the carb and goes straight down to the ground like some overflow tube had a constant gas trickle out of it. the only way it would stop is by shutting off the fuel with an in line fuel cut off switch. why is there gas constantly coming out of the carb?

first thing is what bike is it? could you have pulled the throttle cable out of the carb cap? That would cause the gas coming out of the carb as well. My friend did this on his 200x.

I would say your float is stuck. Pull the bowl off and see whats going on.
I had the RIGHT to remain silent, I didn't have the ability!
