    oil leak

    Is it possible to be leaking oil from the spot where the kicker goes into the cover on an 85 200x? Is this a hard fix?

    Yes it's possible. I don't know how hard it is because I have not done it myself. If it's like shifter shafts and clutch shafts, it could be as simple as taking the kicker off the shaft, pulling the seal out, putting the new seal in, and bolting the kicker back on.

    I looked at my manual and it says ther is an oil seal on the cover for the kick starter that the shaft goes through. Looks like it could leak.

    I popped the kicker off, I had a loose bolt on the smaller cover, problem solved I hope
