    it isnt that that loud, when i got my 200x it had strait pipe on it and wasnt too bad, just the neighbors didnt like it too much. but i ran it like that for years and nothing happend

    It dosent make too much diffrance either way. Its not like a 2 stroke, where it needs the expansion chamber and the back pressure. Not having a muffler will give you a headache after while. It would have a little more power with the muffler on tho. Im with Skippy on this one. I rode my 200x for a while without a muffler, and it worked just fine. After I put the muffler on, I wanted to take it back off, because it sounded a lot cooler without it. )

    Just check your jetting after you remove the silencer and you will be fine.

    you need the back pressure on a two stroke, so you should not use it on a tecate. I believe that you will lose almost all of the low end power.
