    1984 Honda ATC-110 Recoil?

Does anyone have or know where I can purchase a used one for the project trike?

I would rather not go new for this.

I will be looking for decals too. Ideas?

    1984 Recoil

    Yeah, it's a bummer.

I am pretty sure someone just sold the recoil b/c it wasn't running at the time and they saw how much they could get for it on the open market.

I need the housing and the pull-string system. Looks like I could get one for about 150-ish new. I'm about to modify my lawn mower recoil to fit. :

No electric start on this one so it's a pretty crucial component.

If you're OK with having electric start only and you could fab up a cover, you could put this on there: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/atc-1...Q5fAccessories

    1973 Honda ATC70

    84 ATC-110 Electric Start option

As incredibly convenient as it would be to have an electric starter, I would much rather just complete the unit with the manual re-coil.

Unfortunately, I am not exactly metal fab friendly for the cover either.

It's amazing how tough these are come by.

    Thanks for your input.

So the 125 starter from the same year won't work either? Just trying to get a clear picture of the options here.

    Thanks

I have a good used one that I'll sell ya for $50. I installed a new rope and greased it. It pulls nice with great recoil. It not beat up or rusty. If you have pay pal, I could ship it out asap.

The 125 pull start is different. They look the same on the outside, but they're different on the inside. I bought the wrong one once - that's how I learned.

Smile Already invested in the parts.. DOh!

I appreciate your offer for the complete recoil. My hunt wasn't moving fast enough so I just began investing in the parts to build my own.

Thanks for offering though. You shouldn't have a hard time getting rid of the one you have.

All parts, including the 84 cover, new string, handle, recoil kit, and spring with shipping are running me just about what your item would have cost me after shipping.

    Thanks again.
