84 200s bottom end worth a top end rebuild

Have an 84 200s and wondering if my bottom end is good enough to keep and do a top end rebuild. It has some wear into the case by the front sprocket where the chain rubbed about half way through. I measured the top of the con rod max spec for book is .5929 and mine is .585.Don't want to split the cases and do a bottom end,too complex for me.Is it too far gone?

I wouldnt see why not if everything looks good. I say go for it! And keep the chain tight/correct chain to keep the wear to a bare minimum. Good luck!
