I just wanted to show off my pristine 1985 all original 442. That and I wanted to see if anyone here knows about these cars. Locating information is tough. I really like it; it is a nice looking and running car. I have heard that the white T-tops cars with blue interior are ridiculously rare.

Wow. Both of those are nice. Some more pictures of that '48 would be great. I'm not a real big fan of the 80's Olds but that one looks to be very nice and the rarity adds to it as well. My parents had a '71 or '72 4-door Cutlass with the 350 Rocket in it. I still remember the day they got rid of it and I was only probably 4 years old. Ever since, I've had a soft spot for them. I almost bought a '71 2-door Cutlass as my first car.

All I know about 442s is what 442 stands for.
4 barrel carb
4 on the floor
2 duel exhaust
At least this is what it ment when they first came out.
80s......185 atc, Yamaha tri-moto 200, 85 200x with tons of work
90s......89 Suzuki quad racer 250 (raced 250 A class for 6 years, late 90s.. custom framed 250x with long travel shocks and a built 350x motor.... built Honda 110
00s...... chomeoly framed 350 RX with all the goodies (thanks to my bro)
2012.....Replaced the 350x motor for a 444cc YZ426

I love the 85-87 442's. Beautiful cars. Never seen one in white though.......The 80's had some of the best looking, handling, and riding G.M. midsizes ever. Sadly though with the exception of the 84-87 sfi turbo Buicks, the rest were underpowered. But i still love them for what they were. Great cars! Congrats on keeping one well cared for.....

I am starting to re-think the way I use to look at these cars. The funny thing about this one is it is very closely related to the Grand National. It has the same rear end and chassis.
