I have never been able to seal a two piece, i end up putting a tube in them.

there are o ring kits where you can make your own and some places have tons of orings in a box to pick from..hardware store or plumbing supply?

I've beaded silicon and let it DRY to the touch, maybe even overnight THEN squeeze them together

its not like internal engine parts where the excess sili can plug stuff

tubes with tons of cornstarch so they dont scuff and wear holes in themselves?
