New to the board
Hello I havent ran my atc in about 4 months and when i took it out to run again it started in about 8 to 10 pulls i let it idle for about 30 seconds to a min and then i took the atc for a slowride just to get 'swarmed up and while I was doing that when i got to higher RPM'S it started smoking not black but like a white color but it has lots of power and idles great and doesent smoke when it idles not to sure why i stored it indoors and i put new gas and cleaned the carb please help thanks

white smoke is usually oil,black is usually a richness problem,did i just make up a word,lol.

the smoking is probebly caused by a dirty old carb. if it sat for that long, I owuld take the carb apart and clean it up. modern fuels after abotu 1-2 months tend to start varnishing up and thic an cause things to run bad. white smoke is an indication of water int he system. did you leve it outside? maybe water got into the fuel system. also if the fuel went bad it could cause the same issues, again, take the carb off, clean it and put fresh fuel in the thank. this would be my first start along with a new plug for good measures.

did it sit in the sun shade sun shade like condensation in the gas tank?
and then emulsified the moisture with some new alcohol gas.
That alcohol acts like the additive 'heet' and can 'burn ' the water gas
if the rings did get stuck, I'd imagine some mystery oil in the cyl, spin it and let it sit, do compression check and run it the way they love to run..with slight attitude.
if somethng serious is wrong, it prob wont make it worse.

ITS WORRIED ABOUT OBAMA CARE.
SMELL the exhaust, does it smell like fuel? Ive seen excess fuel look white out the pipes.

Unfortunately, because it is an old ATC, the death panel, er, I mean the governmental efficiency board has decided to give it standard octane gas and make no repairs. Let the ATC rot, a newer quad can use the parts that would have gone to it.

which is why im stocking up on ATC parts AND doctors right now.Doctors are hard to find that work under the table, but theyre out there.

okay ill try cleaning the cab again with carb cleaner and ill flush the tank and throw a new plug in to
