85 Tecate 3 Part replacements? Tires?

My Tecate has the 85 LT250r quadrunner engine and although it is running well right now it is leaking fluids very slowly. I was thinking that it wouldn't be a bad idea to buy a full gasket replacement kit off of Ebay but i was just curious of what you guys think. Also, this is my first trike and also my first offroad toy with more than 2 wheels haha.. will the correct size quad tires fit on the backs? And what about the front tire? The previous owner blew the tires up WAY to high (15psi!) and they are kind of stretched and beggining to crack and the tread is gettin low. Any info or good websites you guys have would be great!

Any ATV tires the correct size will work in the rear. A modern set of squarish rear tires will help handeling alot (holeshots, razrs, etc) I run fast trekkers in the rear. For the front you have a few less options. I run a Dunlop KT901 which is a stock front tire for a side by side (I forget which one). It's 2 inches narrower than the stock front, and it's a bit tough to seat the bead, but it works great, and imo look real good too.

You're probably going to want a set of 20's for the rear.

The front I think I paid @ $90 for. There are cheaper options though. The 18 inch fast trekkers I got for @ 50 a piece. If you are mainly trail/general riding, 20's probably would be the way to go as Fabiodriven said. From what I can tell, fast trekkers don't come in a 20x10 size. Rears range from anywhere to $35 for some cheapeies a piece and on up. Depends what you want to spend I guess.

yeah trail riding and woods are that great with 18's on the back. lowers the trike and less ground clearance. i ride sand pits and flat feilds so i went with 18's and love them. the 18's also give the t3 a nice look. but thats just my opinion.
