Big problems!!

Well went out and rode the yamaha 225dx today and was running great well stoped for a min and went to start riding again and pow i hear a grinding noise.....oh no what now......well still running good but now the gears are grinding in every gear and will barley even move. it kind of sounds like it would if you were grinding the gears on a manual car.....any idea on what this is and how to fix it.....i just recently bought this trike and already having BIG issues....this is irritating....any info would be great.........

Id say drain the engine oil and watch and see if there any metal chunks in it. Then id pull motor and start tearing down the bottom end till you find something broken even if u see no metal in oil.

Is it definately in the tranny or could it be the diff?

well the sound isnt coming from the rear its def in the trans but could the clutch cause something like this? or no?
