Best way to find out if an ohv is stolen?

I was just wandering if there are any websites that list stolen atv/atc/ohv vin #'s. What would the best way to check if an ohv is stolen? I am looking at getting another atc and atv but the sellers do not have titles. I do not want a stolen ohv, so I need a way to find out. Thank you

As a police officer myself....I would simply look at the trike, copy the vin, and run a check with your local police department before purchasing! These trikes have been through lots of owners and the titles just arent around any longer! If the seller has a problem with that before you buy it, then it will give you a good idea of its history of the trike or atv and the seller!
