    I see one around here for $700 and it looks complete, but beat. Is that a pretty marginal deal?

    An aircooled 250r will fetch alot less then a liquid, for $700 the 84 250r that is listed is not worth it. The bike is beaten

    See, what do I know. I didn't even know there was both an air and a liquid R. Thanks.

    Edit: I just went back and looked at the picture. Should have been obvious to me it was air cooled. Duh!!

    That's not an 86, it's an 85. it has the torque link on the rear brake assembly and has the fat frame crossbar for mounting the tank. It also has the 85 roundslide carb, front headlight, dark gold wheels and the upper tripple is silver. Definitely an 85R. They're much more common and not worth as much. That's an interesting front tire though, I dont believe I've ever seen one like that.

    i went and looked at that bike about 2 years ago i think he wanted 2500 for it then, had a white frame back then
