    exhaust header pictures 200es

    can anyone take a picture of there ehader olted up to the engine? i can get mine to mount in flush and im havin trouble pulling the engine to get this done. does there have to be a tight seal there? i know ehaust leaks are bad but how bad?

    those dont show it bolted up to the motor. thats the first place i looked. i just need to know if the plate that holds the header on has to have no gap between the engine and it.

    No, every one of my three 200es have a gap between the plate and the engine. The gasket squishes some to make the seal as far as I know.

    Yes just make sure you have the copper colored gasket in there and tighten the 2 nuts to spec. There will be a gap between the plate and the head.

    Thats what I meant also no there shouldn't be no gap between.

    watch out not to tighten them too much
    i broke 1 bolt in my 200s, it was a pain to remove

    hm. it doesnt seem like mine is even capable of the "no" gap option. maybe its because im using bolts instead of studs because they broke? as of now its not acting like there is an exhaust leak as no smoke is coming out of that area so it seems to be good.
