The Line Mountain 4 Wheelers (link) are hosting a harescramble June 12th in Dornsfife, PA. There are events going on there on the 13th as well but the harescramble will be on the 12th so that is the focus of this post. I haven't gotten specific times from the organizers for when tech inspection will begin and end on Friday and when it will resume on Saturday of even when we will be up to race on Saturday but one of the members here (jason85atc250r) has run in several of their events in the past and has been good enough to provide me with info on how it has been run in the past.
Friday Early Evening - Gates Open - Tech Inspection
7am Saturday - Tech Inspection Continues
9am'ish Saturday - ATV/Trike Classes begin their running
11am'ish Saturday - 4x4 Trucks and Buggies run for the rest of the day
Sunday - In the past they have had dirt drags and an obstacle course but you never know for sure.
Here's a quote from Jason in the thread that this all came up in:
Link To Original Threadyou have to definitly be there by 7:00 saturday mourning to do the tech inspection and sign up. They have sign up and tech friday nite also.
Racing the 3 1/2 miler and coal bucket + 7 miler are always saturday. The quads start at 9:00 line mountian time (sometimes a little late). Trucks and buggeis start around 11:00.
we will have about a hour 1/2 to do our 3 laps for the 3 1/2 and the coal bucket is 4 laps in the same time. They are dead engine starts like district harescrambles and the scoring is by bar code stuck on left side of your helmet. You stop quick at the check points and you get zapped like groceries and tack off.
Sunday is just the drag racing sometimes they dont have that and the Short Obstacle course in the afternoon. It's a course at the end of the parking lot.
Here is some more info from the original thread from Jason:
The three wheeler class is a definite. I have confirmed it with the VP of the club:You do not need registration i never had it on my quads i have only seen a couple of the utilty class quads with it. They want you to have a kill cord for tech inspection.
Also we can all camp at the track there is plenty of room and you can drink after the race just not during if your racing. Just dont be cuasing a big rucis or they mite kick you out just have to keep it to a mild rucis. You can get there Friday nite and camp till sunday for a $20 gate fee and can go as you please with wrist band. Regular gate fee is $10 a day.
For the races the 3 1/2 miler is only 3 laps, Coal bucket is 4 laps , 7 miler is 2 laps. You get a 1 1/2 hours to finish it usaully without problems takes you a hour or a little under.. You have time to do some repairs and still finish.
I am going to send him an email asking if they have any sort of itinerary available so that we will know for sure when tech opens/closes and what not. Please feel free to copy and paste this wherever. Since they are making a specific class for us I don't want to disappoint them, when the next two races come up in July and September we'll make plans for them as well. If anyone has any questions please post them here and if we don't have the answer I'll try to get it from the club itself.Good afternoon John we talked about having three wheelers race and we are all okay with it. Use will have your own class. So please tell all your friends and get a big group the more the better.
Thank you and see ya at the races.

PLEASE TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO READ ALL THE RULES ON THE CLUB'S SITE. THERE IS CERTAIN CONDUCT THAT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AND I'D HATE TO SEE ANYONE GET EJECTED FROM THE EVENT FOR SOMETHING DUMB. THEY ARE NOT ONLY GRACIOUSLY ALLOWING US TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT BUT THEY ARE MAKING A SPECIFIC CLASS FOR US WHICH I BELIEVE WILL INCLUDE POSSIBLE PRIZE MONEY AND TROPHIES SO LET'S PUT OUR BEST FOOT FORWARD.
Thanks!
John
